Disney’s Air Bud: World Pup 10th anniversary re-release special edition is a return to a children’s favorite, back for a new generation of children to enjoy! World Pup is an endearing movie about the joining of two families, young love, and soccer, but it is especially the fun and lovable antics of Buddy that really make the movie. This movie is also where The Buddies got their start! Disney’s Air Bud: World Pup is a great family movie night selection.
World Pup opens with a wedding, when Buddy is sent after the forgotten ring. On his way back to the church, Buddy meets Molly and it is puppy love at first sight. Buddy makes it back to the altar to deliver the ring just in the nick of time. During the reception, Buddy joins the kids in the grass for a little soccer fun – a hint of the action to come.
Buddy and Molly persue their puppy love – and The Buddies are born! – as their respective teenage owners discover young love.
As for the soccer action? Buddy and his teammates go all the way to the State Championship Game… and Buddy himself even gets a little World Cup action! This is a great family film all around – but even better if you are a soccer fan.
